Companion browser extension

Companion only reads page text you explicitly select ("Draft a reply", "Check for opportunity", "Queue as post idea"), or — for the inline reply button on LinkedIn, X, and Reddit — the text of the single post or comment whose reply box you open, read only at the moment you click the inline button. On Gmail, only explicit selections are read; the inline auto-read feature is switched off there entirely, since email is private and not a public buying-signal surface. Companion never scans your feed in the background and never reads other people's full profiles.

Selected text and the pairing/session bearer token are sent only to postkeel.com — never to LinkedIn, X, Gmail, or Reddit's own servers beyond your normal page load, and never to a third-party analytics or advertising service. AI generation (drafts, replies) is proxied through postkeel.com and metered against your workspace credits; your browser never talks to an AI model provider directly. The intent-opportunity check runs a local heuristic on our server with no AI cost.

chrome.storage.local on your machine holds your session bearer token, today's cached draft, your streak count, and any ideas queued before you connect. The token is only ever read by the extension's background service worker — never by the scripts that run on LinkedIn, X, Gmail, or Reddit pages themselves.

Insert only fills the compose or reply box on the page — Companion never clicks Post, Send, Comment, or Reply on your behalf. You always take the final action yourself.

Disconnecting in the popup immediately revokes the session token on our server, not just locally. Uninstalling the extension removes all locally stored data.
